Founding and Rise

Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. was established in 2012 by Oscar Valladares, a veteran of the Honduran tobacco industry. With a vision to create cigars that stood out in both quality and presentation, Valladares quickly built a reputation for crafting memorable blends. The brand 'The Oscar' emerged as a flagship, showcasing his dedication to unique packaging and rich, Honduran-centric flavor profiles.

Distinctive Style and Experience

A hallmark of The Oscar brand is its distinctive presentation, most notably the use of a candela leaf or a regular tobacco leaf to encase the cigar's foot, replacing a traditional cello. This not only offers a unique visual appeal but also protects the cigar. Expect well-constructed cigars that often feature a medium to full body, showcasing the characteristic earthy, spicy, and sometimes sweet notes of Honduran tobaccos.

Notable Lines and Facts

While 'The Oscar' encompasses several lines like The Oscar Habano and The Oscar Maduro, the broader 'Leaf by Oscar' series is particularly famous for popularizing the unique tobacco leaf wrapper concept.
