New World

New World Cigars represents a significant collaboration between master blenders A.J. Fernandez and Rafael Nodal of Boutique Blends. Hailing from Nicaragua, this brand quickly established itself by offering high-quality, flavorful cigars at an accessible price point. It is celebrated for its diverse range of blends, each showcasing the rich tobacco characteristics of the region. New World has become a favorite among enthusiasts seeking a robust and satisfying smoking experience.

A Collaborative Beginning

The New World brand emerged from a partnership between two prominent figures in the cigar industry: A.J. Fernandez, known for his extensive tobacco farms and blending expertise in Nicaragua, and Rafael Nodal, the creative force behind Boutique Blends. Launched in 2014, their initial release, the New World Oscuro, quickly garnered critical acclaim. This collaboration aimed to bring exceptional Nicaraguan puros to a broader audience.

Nicaraguan Character and Flavor

New World cigars are predominantly Nicaraguan puros, meaning all the tobacco used in their construction—wrapper, binder, and filler—originates from Nicaragua. This commitment to Nicaraguan tobacco results in blends known for their characteristic earthiness, spice, and often a pleasant sweetness. Enthusiasts can expect a medium to full-bodied experience, with complex flavor profiles that evolve throughout the smoke.

Key Blends and Recognition

Beyond the original New World Oscuro, which received high ratings, the brand has expanded its portfolio with several notable lines. The New World Connecticut offers a milder, creamier profile while retaining Nicaraguan depth. The New World Cameroon brings a different wrapper experience, and the New World Dorado showcases specific tobaccos from A.J. Fernandez's farms. These variations demonstrate the brand's ability to innovate within its core Nicaraguan identity.
