Nicaraguan cigars: brands, sizes and community ratings

How to compare Nicaraguan cigars

Begin with the exact cigar and vitola rather than the country name alone. Two cigars made in Nicaragua can have different dimensions, wrappers and blends. A brand may also make cigars in more than one country, so the recorded country belongs to each product, not automatically to every product bearing that brand.

Use the number of ratings alongside the average. An average based on one opinion tells you less about the wider community than a rating supported by several independent experiences. Individual reviews can add context about draw, burn and taste when members have written them.

“Manufactured in Nicaragua” describes where the finished cigar was made. It does not prove that every leaf in its wrapper, binder or filler was grown there. Check a maker’s product information for the blend.
