Quai d'Orsay
A Cuban cigar brand first created for France.Brand story
Quai d'Orsay was established in 1973 by Cubatabaco at the request of the French company Seita, initially for the French market alone. Its name refers to the Paris avenue beside the Seine where Seita had its offices. Habanos describes the brand as light-strength Cuban cigars handmade with long filler. The range later gained wider international distribution and formats including No. 50 and No. 54. Cigario currently records the No. 50, whose dimensions should be kept specific to that vitola.
A French beginning
The brand was created for France in 1973. Its name refers to Paris's Quai d'Orsay, not to a tobacco-growing location.
Later formats
No. 50 and No. 54 were later formats associated with the brand's broader international availability. Habanos lists the brand as light in strength.
