Punch

Punch is one of the oldest Cuban cigar names: Habanos dates its foundation to the mid-nineteenth century and says it was created with the British market in mind. A separate non-Cuban Punch portfolio also exists today, including Knuckle Buster. The two portfolios should not be treated as one identical blend or automatically assigned the same origin. For any Punch cigar in the Cigario catalog, the specific line and production country need to be checked individually.

The Cuban brand

Habanos attributes the Cuban brand's creation to Don Manuel López de Juan Valle y Cía and describes its classic Cuban blend as medium strength. Mr. Punch remains part of the brand's historic imagery.

The non-Cuban range

A separate Punch portfolio includes lines such as Knuckle Buster and Grand Cru. Claims about the Cuban Habanos blend should not simply be transferred to these products.
